New Delhi: Taking note of the extreme weather conditions hitting mobility in Jammu & Kashmir, the government has decided to hold a separate National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate (NEET-PG 2019) for applicants who picked their exam centres in Jammu and neighbouring cities. National Board of Examination (NBE), an autonomous agency of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, organises the NEET-PG every year for admission to various medical post graduate courses in the country.
NBE had various centres arranged in Jammu and Kashmir. NBE noted that due to inclement weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir, some applicants from Srinagar Valley who chose for testing centre in Jammu or other cities faced extreme difficulty in moving from Srinagar to their designated test centres due to complete blockage of air and road transport.
