The Arak University of Medical Sciences is a medical school in Arak, Iran. This institution is the primary health-care provider in Markazi
province and one of Iran's largest central universities. The institution was founded via the efforts of the director of regional health
organizations in Markazi province, the Majlis representative of Arak, and officials from the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical
Education. After obtaining the necessary permissions for the establishment of the Arak School of Medicine in 1987, the School of Medical

Urmia University of Medical Sciences (also known as Urmia Medical Science University (UMSU)) is an Iranian state medical university
located in Urmia, West Azarbaijan province. On 1878, Joseph Cochran built the medical institution in the current location of the city
campus of University Urmia, which is regarded as the first effort to build a higher education facility in Urmia. Dr. Cochran is also credited
for establishing Iran's "first modern medical college." Cochran is credited on the Urmia University website for "reducing the newborn
mortality rate in the region" as well as constructing one of Iran's first modern hospitals in Urmia. Several more people joined Cochran's

Zanjan University of Medical Sciences is located in the Zanjan Province of Iran.The university was founded in 1987 with three main aims in mind. First, to provide undergraduate and postgraduate courses to train healthcare specialists. Second, to focus on research, and third, to provide health services.
